As usual my lovelies, here’s how my week went, in no particular order:
- Went to visit where I’m going to be living yesterday. Sat outside for a long while discussing purchase terms and badly burned the left side of my face and neck. I look like the human version of a half moon, weirdly. Spent the morning applying refrigerated aloe vera gel. Still, could have been worse…
- It’s literally pissed with rain for three weeks straight and my back lawn is looking like wild kingdom. Spending the weekend lawn mowing. What are you up to this weekend?
- My Urban Fantasy novels are now getting short-story prequels for each (I’m planning five books) so I’ve spent this week thinking up five short stories. Overall this year I’ve planned 325,000 words for myself. That’s 2,142 words a day Mon-Friday till the end of the year. Do-able, I reckon.
- To punish me for leaving him at home all day with food, water, shelter and a comfortable place to sleep, Dexter left me a headless pile of guts that used to be a pigeon this morning. Thanks buddy. I hate you. (new trick though, remove glasses before scraping up the remains so I can’t really see them.. saves me half an hour of retching. You’re welcome)
- Done very little writing this week, however I HAVE been scheming, plotting and devising. It all counts. Also had a weird nightmare which is possibly a theme for a future book, not dragon related, so, writing plan for 2022/3 has begun. Toodle pip, you gorgeous beast, you.
