Is Time Speeding Up? – My Week in List Form (Cabin Fever Version)

As usual my lovelies, hereโ€™s how my week went, in no particular order:

1- It’s one of those days where it feel is like Thursday but is actually Friday. If I was gainfully employed this would be ecstatic news. As it is, meh.

2- I’m up to about eight thousand words on the book. Earlier this week I was slapped in the brain at two thirty in the morning with ideas too good to miss. Cue me powering back on the laptop and writing in my knickers for an hour. One of those nights where you wake up and think ‘Wait, did I get up and write for an hour? nah.’

3- This week I say buh-bye to my Mercedes SLK in favor of something less sensible and which has road tax cost that doesn’t look like a phone number when the bill arrives. It’s all fun and games when you’re earning five hundred quid a day but when you give it all up to be a poor starving writer who earns currently dick squat, you end up having nightmares about sports cars when they’re due for a service. Buh-bye, old steed, buh-bye.

4- I’ve been re-organising my hard drive this week and accidentally SHIRT-deleted my ‘Books’ folder. It’s one of those things that makes you freeze in disbelief. Luckily had a backup but stomach-mouth-mouth-stomach for a few minutes. Note to self: STOP SHIFT-DELETING!

5- Well, back to my corner I go. Iโ€™m on level 2925 of Solitaire. Need to get to 3000 by the end of the day.

Quote of the Week:

‘Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.โ€™

Why is it that when we delete something accidentally it’s always the most important thing on the whole drive?! It’s like digging through my wallet and saying “throw away everything but the $100 bill” and then, of course, keeping the whole wallet intact sans the $100 bill now lost. Wow, that was a winding sentence.

Just stopping by to say hi, Sam! I promise to leave now before my response becomes 8000 words. ๐Ÿ˜
